Happy [Weekend] + Friday Links [No.Eight]
Hello to February! Last week we had a sprinkle of snow!! Some parts of central London got a little more, lucky ducks, however I'll take a sprinkle over nothing any day! There's just something about everything being covered in white that is just so beautiful.
Last weekend I surprised Kieren with a night away to celebrate our eleventh wedding anniversary. Eleven years!
We stayed at The Crown Inn, in the sweet little town of Amersham, just 35 minutes by train from London. The service was a bit of a let down, however everything else made up for it. The duck leg and breast pie for dinner was divine, the room was spacious, the bed was so unbelievably comfortable and we drank way too much port by the fire... it felt like we were a million miles away.
This weekend will be quite the opposite, we're both hunkering down with the plan of getting a load of work done. I might need a port or two to get through it...
